Eagle Valley Golf Club is currently hiring for the 2021/2022 Season!

 

We are searching for individuals capable of working in a busy fast paced environment and have experience in the golf or sports industry.

 

Eagle Valley Golf Course & Golf Academy is a small operation with a big foot print.  An 18 hole executive golf course and driving range with a well-established teaching platform.  The golf academy programs are structured to accommodate recreational individuals as well as high performance levels, with private lessons or programs designed to teach 3 yr olds to any age or playing level. The salary/pay structure will vary based on the individuals experience and abilities.

Self-motivation and self-discipline are necessary qualities to receive higher paying levels.

Pay level starts from minimum to living wage.

 

Positions Available

Coach/Instructor – 3 positions available for full or part time

Must have full G license and Police Vulnerable Sector Check and Smart Serve

 

Grounds Crew Assistant Supervisor – Fulltime and seasonal

Must have full G license and Police Vulnerable Sector Check and Smart Serve

 

Grounds Crew Worker– Seasonal, 2 positions available for full or part time 

Must have transportation to work, Police Vulnerable Sector Check and Smart Serve

Golf Operations Manager:

This position requires the individual to oversee and enforce all golf operation policies, controls and fee structures to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory, golf carts and resources. They must have the ability to empower employees to provide excellent customer service making improvements and manage the scheduling and performance. 

They will be expected to be instrumental in the programming and scheduling of Golf Academy Programs and implementing and managing same into the online booking system, its financial performance and entire operation.

They will be expected to communicate with Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate and delegate staff to allow the work performed by maintenance to continue smoothly and without hindrance. Ie. Special projects, cutting the driving range, respecting their need to work.

The position requires excellent knowledge in Microsoft suite (excel in particular) POS and online and tee-sheet booking system.

Strong communication skills, strong leadership and strategic planning experience are assets to make this job satisfying and to achieve results.

Coach/Instructor:

This position requires the individual to show leadership and communication skills in teaching golf to all ages as coaches or assistant golf instructors working with PGA of Canada Class A member.

One year of golf instruction or coaching experience preferred.

PGA Of Canada membership is considered an asset but not required.

They will be expected to maintain credible golfing skills and remain current on teaching innovations and have strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.

The ability to work independently as well as within a team environment is essential to accomplish the self-motivation needed to instruct golf, along with the desire to promote and market and network and work with people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations and abilities.

Experienced in Microsoft suite and familiarity with golf management systems/tee-time bookings and POS is a requirement.

Fundamental knowledge of the game/rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations is also required.

This job may require working the pro shop as an attendant or assisting the pro shop in operations as well as the driving range maintenance and operation from time to time.

Grounds Crew Assistant Supervisor:

This position requires the individual to directly assist the Head of Maintenance in all aspects of the job.  The job description is inclusive of all golf course and building maintenance.  Experience in landscaping, construction, handy with tools, lawn cutting equipment, farm equipment, tractors etc is an asset to learning and understanding the golf course maintenance.  Golf knowledge is also an asset.  Working in all weather conditions is a factor in this job, understanding and willing to work the necessary hours as needed to get the job done in all kinds of weather or urgency when a regular schedule doesn’t go as planned. It is important to have awareness and appreciation of safe working and environmental practices.  Computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft suite and excel are required for reporting and control of operations.

Any certification in maintenance related work ie. Chainsaw, welding etc.  are assets.

 

Grounds Crew:

2 grounds crew positions are available for individuals who enjoy working outside and are willing to work in all weather conditions.  Golf knowledge is an asset in understanding the quality and performance and quality of landscape maintenance needed.  It is important to have awareness and appreciation of safe working and environmental practices.  Golf course is open 7 days a week which will require working weekends; weekend work will be scheduled intermittently and spread out amongst all employees taking turns.  Weekend work is also limited to 4hr days each day rather than the regular scheduled 8 hour day.
