Academics

Niagara Academy of Sports was founded in 1997 and has operated as Niagara Academy of Tennis. It has attracted students from around the world who come to this independent school in Vineland, Ontario for high performance training in tennis and for excellence in education. Niagara Academy is a Ministry of Education inspected private school and has had 100% success in placing every graduate in an athlete scholarship program in universities in the United States and Canada.

Students who attend the Niagara Academy of Sports golf program will be located at the academies Eagle Valley Golf Club campus in Niagara Falls Ontario. Students will receive the same level of academics as well as elite level golf training, and be athletically managed for university sport scholarship opportunities. They will be prepared for the SAT scholarship entrance examinations and will receive recruiting assistance through College Prospects of America. Additional tutoring, course selection and career and guidance counseling will be available to students throughout the term.

Daily Timetable

8:20 - Announcements

8:30/9:00 - Individual practice time

Students will have full access to Eagle Valley Golf Club’s indoor and outdoor driving range as well as short game practice facility

Students will warm up and be able to work on any aspect of their golf game

9/10:00 - Practice and Instruction with golf professional

Working with professionals to improve students’ mental and physical game. 

Analyzing pros and cons of previous day’s golf game with the focus on short and long term goals the player wishes to achieve.

Students will work with professionals on game management and on course tactics earlier in the term when the weather is good and focus more on the technical, physical and mental side of the game as the term moves into the winter months.

3:30/6:00- Play Golf/Fitness

Students will have full playing privileges at Eagle Valley Golf Club as well as being able to play a different Niagara Region golf course every Friday in the good weather months.

Management will prepare different competitions each day for the academy students to prepare them for tournament play.

Each semester during the winter months a 5 day vacation will be set up somewhere south where students will be able to play each of the 5 days. Additional fees will apply.

During good weather months students will play golf from 3:30-6, while during poor weather months students will use the last hour and a half of last period for fitness and indoor training.

The greater focus of the Academy is on the process of learning how to improve. The skill of identifying your weaknesses and working to improve are talents that will lead to success with and beyond the game of golf.

Academics and Golf - 10 month school term- $17,000.00

Home Stay Fees

Weekly- $250.00 (6 nights)

Monthly- $750.00

Annual- $7,000.00 (10 months)

Health Insurance- $70 dollars per month

Travel and Tournament expenses are additional
